About this product
As the name suggests, theKonus KonuStart-700B 60mm f/11.6 Refractor Telescopeis designed to inspire beginner astronomers with a versatile scope that can be used for celestial or Earth-bound observations. The moderate aperture and focal length enable it to achieve comfortable magnifications, and gather enough light to enjoy meteor showers, to resolve details on the lunar surface, or to see larger and brighter planets like Saturn, Venus, and Mars. Two eyepieces provide low and high magnifications to tailor to any situation; and a smartphone adapter allow the astronomer to capture photos or video through the eyepieces with most mobile devices. To use the KonusStart as a conventional spotting scope, simply install the 1.5x erect-image diagonal to correct the view horizontally and vertically, while slightly increasing the magnification on any eyepiece used with it. For safe transport and storage, the telescope comes with a carrying case designed to hold the scope, tripod, and all the included accessories.
