The Carson Optical Sky Chaser 70mm f/6 Refractor AZ Telescope is an ideal instrument to introduce beginners to viewing the moon and planets as well as far-off earthbound subjects. It comes with two eyepieces that produce a low power of 16x and a high power of 44x, plus a Barlow lens which triples the magnification of each to increase their versatility. An erect-image diagonal places the head in a comfortable position whether you're watching stars or sailboats. The telescope is mounted on a simple photo-style head that is easy to use, and it is all supported on a lightweight tabletop tripod. To safely carry the telescope, tripod, and all accessories Carson includes a convenient nylon carrying bag.
