About this product
The Pentax 20x60 S Series SP WP Binoculars are designed for both astronomy and stationary on a tripod land viewing in all weather and conditions.
The large 60mm objective lenses in these giant binoculars are fully multicoated to reduce reflection and maximise light transmission through the entire optical path. The large objectives and lens coatings used in these Pentax S Series waterproof binoculars maximise the amount of light that will reach your eyes, meaning that they have exceptional low-light capabilities. On top of that, the 20x magnification provides an immersive observation experience.
Made with a traditional porro prism configuration these binoculars produce images with a rich depth of view for an immersive observation experience. The porro prism design also makes these binoculars comfortable to hold and easy to grip thanks to a large outer surface area.
In addition to the fantastic optical performance is rugged and durable construction. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed for fogproof performance and to make them waterproof up to 1m in case you accidentally drop them in water. These binoculars also sport a generous 21mm eye relief and the fold-down eyecups seal against the ocular cavity to block stray peripheral light which can dim images and effect night adjusted vision.
As with any giant binoculars, the over-sized objectives in these binoculars do add weight and bias the centre of gravity forward which can cause fatigue over a period of time. Hand-shake can also effect images, so to aid long observation sessions the binocular can be mounted on a tripod using an optional adapter.
If youre looking for giant binoculars that will allow you to get up close with your subject; whether it be the land or the stars, in all light and weather conditions, then youve found the best binoculars for you!
